Ok the way to do it is to NOT create a session first and then attempt to import any midi files because Studio One won't see the tempo or the tempo changes. Has any One has anybody in this forum been able to do this easily? As i said above i tried everything i can think of but i sure i must be missing something.

Of course I don't know if their software seals with tempo changes correctly but I will buy it if necessary but I would like to learn how to do it. I did speak to the company that has software to import sonar into S1 but I'd like to be able to do it on my own. I actually manually changed a few bars of Studio One's tempo track to match sonar's but since there are a bunch of variations it will too painful and probably close to impossible to be successful. In S1 when I bring in first the audio exported and then midi (type 1) saved from sonar, or visa versa, the tempo variations from sonar never come in. Then i recorded the audio ans everything was in sync.

On the song in question in sonar it starts at 69 Bpm at measure 13 it goes slowly up from 69 Bpm to 76 Bpm and at the end retads down to about 50 Bpm. The tempo changes were in sonar before the voices were recorded so there wasn't any stretching necessary. However when I have a sonar song who's midi track has tempo changes. I have been successful in importing both the midi and the audio and for the most part was successful. I am looking for a way to import midi and audio files created in sonar.
